‘VET WILDLIFE SUPPORT PACKAGE’
(Some helpful ‘how to guides’ created BY Vet Professionals to HELP other Vet Professionals to treat wildlife in practice).
The ‘Vet Wildlife Support Package’ is made up of…
A. A pdf guide from Vet Nurse, Beth Ragan (of Feline & Wildlife Rescue) on how to treat birds within a Vet Practice.
B. A pdf guide from Hedgehog Helpline Founder & Vet Surgeon, Graham, on treating Hedgehogs in Vets Practices.
C. A collection of videos created by Born Free and Secret World (created by Vets, for Vets) to help Vets treat all species of wildlife casualties within Vet Practices.

'WILDLIFE HOSPITALISATION IN PRACTICE' TEMPLATE FORM
This is a form kindly provided to us by a wildlife experienced Vet Surgeon who uses it in her own Practice, so that other Practices can use it too. We can email you over a pdf copy.
THE WCB KNOWLEDGE ASSESSMENT (AVAILABLE AS A TRAINING TOOL).
Vet professionals are always welcome to take the WCB Knowledge Assessment (free) to test their knowledge base and to see where they might have strengths/weaknesses on various species/practices. It’s totally confidential to take the KA - no one ever has to know except us - and you get a certificate when you pass. Just like new WCB Holders, veterinary professionals are sent the WCB KA Revision Guide in advance, which contains some recommendations for books to purchase too.
PROVIDING A VETERINARY SUPPORT NETWORK
The WCB has always been incredibly fortunate in the support and involvement of wildlife expert veterinary professionals (in fact, a few of the most experienced and well known Wildlife Vet Surgeons in the UK have played big roles in creating the WCB Badge itself).
We always want to support less wildlife experienced veterinary professionals in practice who aren’t sure who to contact for wildlife advice. We have been able to put vet professionals - who want support to treat wildlife in their practices - in touch with kind, wildlife experienced Vet Surgeons & RVNs on a number of occasions and we hope to continue to grow this support network.
BENEFIT FROM WILDLIFE TRANSPORTER SUPPORT...
A recommendation: UK Wildlife Transporters has been transporting wildlife from Vet Practices to nearby Wildlife Rescues for over 4 years. They provide a free service and a link on how to apply to use the transport service is HERE.

[All fuel for Drivers is funded by UKWT too.]
