WCB GRANTS FOR WCB HOLDERS
WCB GRANTS - £100 EVERY MONTH - FOR WCB HOLDERS
This is an idea that has been running in the background for a long time and we have decided to give it a go (a trial run, for one year). If everyone loves it, we'll continue it, if it's not popular then we won't.
It came about because...
The WCB Project Manager, Alana, has donated personally - or offered her own airbnb home as a raffle prize - to a few WCB Holders in the past, to support them in their efforts. (Other WCB Developers have donated to WCB Holders too).
It was just to support the hands on work that was being done.
We've been thinking about a WCB grant scheme for a while, as a way to provide more regular support. It's not an amount that's going to make it worth becoming a WCB Holder just to access it - it's only £100 every month, for one WCB Holder to claim, each time - but we hope that it can support our Badge Holders in a small way with Vets bills, medical tests, stuff like flyers or posters for fundraising events etc: anything really.

The way that the grant application & allocation system will work is very simple...
WCB Holders just fill in this google FORM - before midnight on the 24th of every new month - to apply for the £100 each month...
All applications will be published in the WCB Holders Facebook group on the 26th of each month for you (the community of WCB Holders) to vote on who should win that month, using this second super easy google form. [See an example below of what it will look like, without the applications in there yet of course].
Winners are announced at 13:00 on the last day of each month. Winners will receive the funds through bank transfer or Paypal within 48hrs. [Then we just need to see some proof of what it was used for, over the next 30 days, like a Vets bill or invoice or anything really.]

Our first £100 grant will be available in September 2024.
